Rainy day ride….Long Term Drive report(10years)Car: 2011 Porsche GT3 RS.Miles: 21,181Maintenance: -Brembo rotor and pad change @ 18k miles.-New Rotoform wheels and Toyo tires at 20K miles-Replaced Audio/climate control knobs because plastic started to turn to goo.-Replace buckle seatbelt sensor.-2 batteries-Throwout bearing chatters when car gets hot.Overall Impression: After having several Ferraris, Lamborghinis and a Techart 997, and some Mercedes. This is by far my all time favorite sports car to drive. It’s the last year of stick shift. The motor has just the right amount of power. It’s also one of the last cars to not have driver biased electronics. Which means you are driving and not the computer. You can slide it around corners just enough before T/C kicks in. Car rotates perfect in the corners with just the right amount of under steer. I love everything about this car. Even the steering wheel is the perfect size. Downsides: -GPS looks like Pong.-Pop out Cup holder is useless.-Engine doesn’t have a dipstick to check oil level..-If battery dies you have to pull D/S front wheel and inner fender to open doors.-You have to lock the doors to keep bitches out.#jessejames (at Dripping Springs, Texas)https://www.instagram.com/p/CPOZyBfnloh/?utm_medium=tumblr -- source link
