episims: Long story (not so) short: These (plus this) 4t2 seasonal trees by @janika31 with bark textures replaced by a “more realistic recolor” included with these trees by @julsfels. I like their bark a lot - it’s not too photorealistic and in my opinion goes nicely with the original leaves, but is still better than the Paint Bucket “bark” that EA uses. I did resize, recolor and in some cases blended julsfels’s texture so that I ended up with an unique bark for every tree. With a detailed texture like this there are mapping problems with some of the trees, namely with oak, willow and pine. I strongly advice that you take a look at this picture, otherwise please don’t say that I didn’t warn you. Texture stretching is worst with the willow and easiest to ignore with the pine as its sprigs mostly cover the issue. In all cases stretching only happens at the canopy though. These use the same packages as janika31′s original trees, so you can’t have both in your game at the same time. (Edit: apart from magnolia and southern magnolia trees, as I didn’t do an edit of those.) Also worth noting that I replaced the elm’s foliage with the textures from earlier conversion of the same tree by @alienpod as I liked brighter leaves more. Files are compressed.
