First Constitution from the First University in the New WorldAntonio Ricardo was the first printer in South America. The first printing from his press in Lima, La Doctrina Christiana y Catecismo was published in 1584 and this Constituciones (the 12th printing from his press) in 1602. The university still exists today in Lima as the National University of San Marcos.
