I’d like to take todays outfit idea to talk about the double standards when it comes to slut shaming. A lot of feminist today are advocates for a woman to be able to have control over her own body, to do with it as she pleases. This is all fine. I am a great advocate for this! But what I find upsetting is when these same feminist looks down on their fellow sister for using her body to please men. Then she is considered a slut for sleeping around a lot and serving the patriarchy. If I choose to use my body to please other men, than I CHOOSE to do that. No one is forcing me. If anything you should be happy for your fellow sister that she is taking control over her sexuality and becoming comfortable with her body. No matter towards whom that may be.  Trying to take the world slut and turning it into something negative is just ridiculous and downright hurtful towards women. If anything, you should encourage women taking care of themselves. I don’t see slut as anything negative, in contrary I see it as a testament that people find my body attractive, so if anything, being a slut should be seen as something positive. So I would just like everyone to practice what they preach. I’m a girl, who’s supporting other girls, NO MATTER what that may be. If you want to be a slut. Go a head, be the best damn slut you can be!   -- source link
