politicalsci:It all makes me so sad, and so mad. Mad at the Labour right for being anti-party wreckers, for being spineless opportunists, for being such brazen liars and scum; mad at the gleeful media that spun the web of lies, the same media that’s now saying nothing as one of the few real journalists in the country is being tortured in Belmarsh prison; mad at Corbyn and the Labour left for completely failing at doing politics and neutralising the anti-left faction in the party (yet another affirmation of the truth that good people make terrible politicians, and for that I’ll never forgive them). These people should have been expelled in 2016. Instead, they lost the party the most important election in a generation and have destroyed any chance of Labour ever being in government again, while massively undermining the fight against actual racism in the process. The deaths that can be laid at their door number in the tens of thousands, and it hasn’t been a year since the election. Blair is most definetly not the only person that needs to face a trial.I can’t imagine how much worse I’d feel if I was actually a Labour member, had ever voted for Corbyn, either internally within the party or in a general election, or if my politics were in any way dependent upon the success of an organisation as wretched as Labour. But it still drives me mad. This country’s politics is disgusting. It’s a disgrace. In the end he wasn’t even suspended for antisemitism itself, but for finally, now it’s far, far too late, saying out loud what everyone already knew: that this is a political struggle within the party. Why anyone even vaguelly left-wing is still in that cesspit of an organsiation I honestly don’t know. -- source link
