Hannah walked through the door to her apartment and sat down on the couch, she was just back from the dermatologist and not having the best day. She had noticed a small dry patch of skin on her foot that had looked weird the other day, and her boyfriend Nathan had suggested going to see a skin doctor. That turned out to be no help. He just said it had been dry out and that sometimes skin gets dry, she should use some lotion when this happens. This didn’t feel or look like any dry skin she had ever seen, in fact, it actually looked kind of green. Maybe the doctor was right, it probably was just dry skin, she decided not to worry about it and thought she might take a nap before Nathan got home.Hannah’s cel phones buzzed as she got a text from Nathan. She stirred awake and looked at it. He wasn’t gonna be home for another hour or so. Hannah felt terrible, her muscles were all sore and her skin itched and she was very cold. She swung her feet off the edge of the couch and her the clack on hard nails on the wooden floor. She slowly looked down and saw her foot, more correctly her feet. Both of her feet were now scaly and came to clawed toes, she wiggled them and watched as the claws tapped the floor beneath her. She swung one of her legs up to take a closer look only to notice there were scales on her hand and arm too. Her fingernails were dark, and she could see the pattern of scale almost spreading up her arm. Scales continued to form all over her body and she got up and staggered to the bathroom to find that she now had reptilian eyes and a row of sharp teeth made for tearing.She shivered as she walked to the bedroom and grabbed some extra clothes to get warm more than hide her scales. The scales didn’t actually look that bad, they might be kind of nice once they were all formed instead of being slightly patchy like this. She turned the thermostat up and moved to the loveseat in front of the open window, curling up in the light provided by the midday sun. curiously watching as a tail slowly grew out from behind her. It would still be another 45 minuets til Nathan got home so she figured she might as well watched TV while she warmed up. She adjusted her tail and got comfortable, the sun felt good… went to grab the remote and turn on the tv and remembered the prescription ointment on the coffee table in front of her and laughed, who needs lotion when you have scales? -- source link
