I’ll let you call me that if you promise me you’ll come back sooner.eyyy long time no see, right? hahaokay sorry for the mcr/emo trinity fans but i just saw current IT cast photos and can’t stop thinking about them (they’re my babies ) ***********IT BOOK (mild?) SPOILER ALERT************(i know it’s an old book but hey i read it last year haha)(also i know it’s 1000+pgs but it’s so fkin good i recommend reading it if you enjoyed the movie … and have a strong mind haha)anyways haha i kinda came up with this idea of eddie having a bit of (well honestly a severe case of) separation anxiety disorder. i mean when you think about it, as much as he wanted to be free from his mother, eddie ultimately never could leave his mother. His guilt always tripped him until he thought he’d had a strong motivation to finally ‘escape’ from his “mother” (my baby is such a strong boi). as much as him being in possession of his mother for so long is eerie, it’s what happened my poor babyT—Tbut i also think eddie would have had a hard time dealing with the absence of his mother figure, mainly because any sort of loss (even if it was necessary and beneficial in the end) leaves an empty space. and considering how long he’s had his “mother” by his side and pretty much controlling his life for him (or rather, living his for him) he would want/feel the need of that control over him—because that’s all he had known until he recollected what happened in the past.. maybe even after he remembered he would need that sense of “support” or the “safety net” because he’s been accustomed to that since he lost his memories?soooo because reddie is real (haha) richie would have naturally become that protector (the “mother”) during their old but new relationship. and i always think that richie is a type of person who lets a problem be rather than solves it; so even if he recognizes eddie’s behavior as unhealthy, he would just be there for him. this is because richie thinks he’s being helpful (not because he doesn’t want to help)— i think he would consider being supportive no matter what (=“being there” the entire time) as the most helpful act (instead of seeking for help). I feel like he would believe that most problems are solved over time, even though he knows that’s not true by his own experiences (he’ll let every issues/insecurities brew until he can’t handle them and ultimately let go of everything),,, hahahahaalso eddie would be very paranoid of not only germs but also death& safety in general, i think, since his mother died (well i guess he had that even before then, but i think it would have made his paranoia even intenser). so he’d be very anxious when he can’t spot richie or is in a situation where he can’t see his lover. this would also apply to his other friends whom he loves so much (crying hardcore) but since he has a heart for richie, i think his anxiety will reach its maximum potential when it’s richie he can’t check their safety/presence for sure.and the doodle i did over there is eddie being clingy when richie came back from smoking outside.welp that’s one ways of how i see these babies i’m sorry i’m such a dark person hahahaha -- source link
