SUICIDE SQUAD (David Ayer, 2016)Finally watched this … and it really is as lackluster as everyone says. It apparently is just too hard for Warner/DC to make a coherent and enjoyable movie. I am not a screenwriter, but I think it’s a real problem when you have backstory flashbacks in the third act of the movie. I guess that happens when you have seven characters that need to be set up. Just about everything in this movie is choppy and out of place. It makes for some really bad pacing. Bonus points go to Jared Leto (as The Joker) for one of the worst acting jobs in any movie I have seen this year. I don’t know why anyone would want to see more footage of his awful take on the most iconic villain in the DC universe.2/5 -- source link
