End image description.] Not entirely accurate! It would seem they’re looking towards the sky, but the photo actually shows the giraffes in the middle of a battle. When battling, bull giraffes use their heads as weapons, swinging them around wildly and trying to hit their opponent with the ossicones (“horns”). The photographer simply captured them while their heads were facing in the same direction :) -- source link
