interludepress: INTERLUDE PRESS AUTHORS RECEIVE THREE FOREWORD INDIES BOOK OF THE YEAR AWARDS Interlude Press titles received three Foreword Reviews INDIES Book of the Year awards Saturday for romance, science fiction and LGBT fiction. The Rules and Regulations for Mediating Myths & Magic by F.T. Lukens was named the top novel in Young Adult fiction. The story of a teen whose internship places him at the crosshairs of the human and mythological worlds, RULES AND REGULATIONS has received multiples honors for speculative and YA fiction. It is also the recipient of an IBPA Benjamin Franklin Gold Award for Teen Fiction and a Bisexual Book Award. Grrrls on the Side by Carrie Pack, a coming of age story set in the 1990s Riot Grrrl movement, received the Bronze award for YA Fiction. Beulahland by Nancy Stewart, a gritty story of queer resistance and courage in the face of bigotry and intolerance in the Missouri Ozarks, received an Honorable Mention in the LGBT category. Interlude Press titles received six finalist nominations in the annual literary competition, including two nominations for Alysia Constantine’s Olympia Knife and Stewart’s Beulahland. The awards honor the best in independent publishing each year. More than 2,000 entries were submitted for consideration, according to Foreword.
