gaywrites: Today is World AIDS Day, and our fight against HIV/AIDS, stigma, and shame is just as important as ever. In the United States, more than 1.1 million people are living with HIV. 1 in 7 of them don’t know it. And gay and bisexual men, particularly young Black men, are still disproportionately affected. What can you do? Get tested. Talk to people in your community about HIV/AIDS – both prevention and supporting those living with HIV/AIDS. Actively challenge stigma and shaming when you see it. A future without AIDS is within our reach, but we all have to be a part of it. -- source link
