thetumblinggene: Most of my followers know I’m a writer… well, that’s the dream, anyway. And so many of you have been incredibly supportive of that dream. Well, I just wanted to share with y’all one of two major projects that have been more than ten years in the making now. This is a very exciting time for me. I’m very proud to introduce The Ghost Radio Project, recorded in Knoxville, TN. This is a scripted, immersive story podcast with a large ensemble cast that I’m writing, directing, and editing for the ears of all those who might enjoy it. _____ The story: The podcast follows a group of pirate radio deejays traveling through an impoverished, post-Capitalism Southwest, spreading information, helping people where they can, and trying to bring the world some semblance of normalcy by playing music too. Most of the podcast, however, focuses on their lives off the air – their triumphs and troubles, people they know and love, their experiences both happy and horrific. Loads of shenanigans and mini-plots. It’s just a wild ride, really…one that we hope you’ll join us on and enjoy for a long while to come. _____ My friends and I are paying for all of it out of pocket. None of us make any money from this. The community we want to build and the feedback we hope to get from it is enough for us…so we need as much exposure as we can possibly get. I especially hope you’ll check it out if you’re looking for a story packed with characters who represent those of us so often left out of popular media: People of color. Bisexual people. Trans people. Nonbinary people. Religious minorities. Neurodivergent people. I couldn’t seem to find any podcasts with a cast that adequately represents people like me and my friends, so. I made one.
