Long time since my last reviewThe M4 Sherman Firefly sits at tier 6 along with its American cousins M4A3E8 and M4A3E2 Jumbo. However what sets the Firefly apart from its American counterparts is the top gun, the 17 lb. OQF gun. It has a fantastic rate of fire of just over 12 rounds a minute and accuracy of 0.38. The gun can penetrate ~170mm of armor and deal 150 damage with standard AP and can penetrate ~240mm with APCR. That is the best gold round penetration among all the mediums, the second being the Cromwell with just over 200mm of penetration with APCR shells. Mobility is similar to the other Shermans as is the armor and hit points. However there is 4 crew members instead of the 5, giving the loader the additional task of being the radio operator. The downsides are just like the Shermans, having below average armor compared to other tier 6 medium tanks and a fairly tall profile. But if you manage to keep this tank behind allies or cover this tank can pick off enemies at medium range and force the enemy to think twice. On my opinion I love this tank not only because it’s a Sherman but because it has been reliable in many battles I’ve had in it. -- source link
