Sergei Pomazun, also known as The ‘Belgorod shooter’, smiles and laughs as he is sentenced to life imprisonment on 23 August, 2013. Sergey was found guilty of murder, stealing weapons and ammunition and attacking a police officer. On 22 April, 2013, Sergey opened fire at a gun shop in the centre of Belgorod, Russia, killing three people. After going out on the street, he shot three more. Two schoolgirls were among those killed. On the evening of 23 April, policemen from Kursk found Sergey. During the detention, he wounded one of them. As he was apprehended, he said: “I didn’t shoot at any kids, I was firing into Hell”. In court, when asked if he would like to apologize for any of the crimes he had committed, Sergey reacted aggressively and began to curse, threatened to kill those who were present and promised to squeeze out the photographer’s eyes. -- source link
