For my biology class our team was selected to present on insular dwarfism and gigantism as a end-term project. And, being myself, obviously I wanted to slip in some extinct examples. Because, well, dinosaurs, but also because these examples are noticeably drastic compared to others. The only other example this drastic would be dwarf elephants. Magyarosaurus and Europasaurus were easy choices due to the contrasting of their much larger relatives.To better illustrate the size I used the dreaded basic profile on a white background. Europasaurus was modelled after a skeletal done by @LikesPterosaurs on Twitter, and I couldn’t find any up-to-date skeletals for Magyarosaurus so I did my best to cobble together something out of its close relatives. Which is why the skull looks like it’s been erased and redrawn so much. Titanosaur skulls need to behave and choose a shape god damnit. Be good dinos like Brachiosaurs.Europasaurus is simply an updated coloration from an old 3DS drawing I made when I was 15. Magyarosaurus was colored this was simply because I slurred my speech and called it Magyargosaurus. Which turned into Ma-gargoyle-saurus. That was kinda fun for my group, so it’s a stony grey with green “lichen” coloration near its head. -- source link
