So when I looked up “Caspien”, it turned out that it’s not one language but rather it’s a grouping of Northwestern Iranian languages. Very much like “Turc” isn’t the Turkish language, as the French label might lead you to think, and should be understood as “Turkic”This map is interesting but its language groupings are not coherent in that they refer to sub-branches or much broader language families with an inappropriate label -- source link
