wheelchairwitch: My Witch Cottage Series I wanted to show you guys some more of my art. I just finished the third piece in my Witch Cottage series last week and I have one more to do (the fourth photo is me working on a commission of a similar subject since I don’t actually have a photo of the fourth one yet). The first piece celebrated Samhain, the second companion piece moved the viewer into Yule, the third one took us into Ostara, and then the fourth one will celebrate Litha (in progress, not shown). I wanted to imagine what a witch’s home might have looked like in colonial America into the early 19th century since I have a deep love of history. This series is my way of combining my spiritual path with my scholarly path and people have been collecting them for their altars or walls or a number of other things. All the pieces in this series have been done with charcoal and graphite pencils on 11x14 mixed media paper. For those who don’t know, I draw with my mouth due to a disability called Arthrogryposis. All of the originals are sold (even the one I haven’t done yet) but I do make prints in two sizes for people who want them. The large ones are 11x17 for $20 (cardstock, not thin posters) and the small ones are 5x7 for $10 (also cardstock).
