Hello Everyone!Sorry for my social media absence! A lot has been going on and I haven’t found the proper time to update and let people know where I’ve been and what I’m doing.First thing first, Steampetal is still active, items are available on my shop. Check everything out at Steampetal on Etsyhttps://www.etsy.com/ca/shop/steampetalWe just wrapped up our 20th annual fashion show at NBCCD, and that added a lot to the plate. On top of being the technician for the fashion department and backstage manager for the show, I was also doing a side contract to run their social media. What took up most of my time though, is working on a different direction for my career. I’m a lady of many faces when it comes to business, and I wanted to pursue something I’ve been thinking about for awhile now; Gallery shows and sales. This means is that my work as an artist will be split into categories. My brand, Steampetal, will continue to be my collections of clothing for BJD’s and my aromatherapy products. I’ll be working under my own name for my gallery work however. I intend to work on a level of fine art, using techniques and detailing that are not possible with my ready to wear items at Steampetal. Most of these items will still fit BJD’s, but they will come at a much higher price point. I don’t intend to list them online, so to inquire about purchase, contact me personally. Otherwise, I’ll be aiming to have the pieces displayed and sold as textile sculptures. More on those as they come!Finally; I’ve started a blog to go with my new Atelier side.
