it’s 17th april, happy birthday rei-chan!sailormars was my first favourite guardian as a kid ———-i tried to echo some elements from the manga, 90s anime and crystal. this is fire soul, her anime attack that never made it into the reboot, which is a slight pity because i always thought it was cute how she put her hands together like a gun to generate the swirly fireball. i’m not sure if it was ever intended in the anime or if it was pure coincidence but i shaped the spiral fireball like a tomoe which has symbolic significance in shintoism (and buddhism), i thought that was a good reference to rei’s day job as a shrine miko -- source link
