allthebeautifulthings9828: The Samhain festival approaches. Most of you celebrate it as secular Halloween. This is my favorite season of the year. It’s a time to contemplate the past, honor your ancestors, the spirits, and prepare for the darker part of the year. The harvest time will be over soon and we’ll enter winter. This is my quiet time to study as a witch and reflect on my craft for the future. I decorate my altar with photos of my ancestors and leave offerings of certain foods.
