derangedhyena-delphinidae: arlluk: derangedhyena-delphinidae: seaworldcares: The fact is … http://seaworldcares.com/our-killer-whale-care/ well I’d certainly hope you feed your animals I also like how they tacked on “and that’s just for our animals” at the end.Like, what else would you be doing with that much fish? Feeding it your employees??? They serve a lot of seafood too, so they presumably also get a lot of it in to feed park guests. For some kind of context, here’s a page discussing the lbs of seafood (various categories) landed/imported/etc into the US. In contrast, 4.5 million pounds doesn’t seem like that much (but that 4.5 million probably is part of that number…?) The original post is still pretty much nonsense. If you look at their restaurant menu’s on their website, they serve multiple fish dishes at almost all of the parks dinning facilities. In 2010, for their restaurants, “SeaWorld Orlando alone went through 38,000 pounds of shrimp and 30,000 pounds of salmon last year. Company wide, Busch Entertainment bought 100,000 pounds of shrimp and 120,000 pounds of salmon” [x] -- source link
