almightyrayzilla: I’ve not really been in the most “creative” attitude as of late. I think y'all would understand if I said social distancing - as necessary as it is - can be tiresome. This whole thing can be overwhelming, and in that midst, I ended up in that position of doubting my abilities. But then I pushed myself to have another one of those times I look back at older art and think, “If I could do that then, imagine what I can do now.” And with this, I’ve kinda done a refresh on pieces I’ll end up looking back on the next time I’m feeling like this. Sometimes I need to remind myself that I can do it. (Plus, because it’s been a while since I last cracked open the markers, this was also a good opportunity to see which of my markers need to be tossed and replaced, lol.) Godzilla ‘98…Zilla…GINO…whatever you choose to call it, is rather interesting as far as colors go. I kept in mind that the design was supposed to have colors that blend in with New York’s skyline; I started off with a tan, then used a blue and a bluish-green for shading. (Naturally the spines were only done with blues.) Overall, it was a fun piece to make. :) -- source link
