It’ll never be quite how we imagined it. The four poster bed might never happen. The dungeon might remain in our heads for the longest time. The four course meals that I always wanted to prepare for you might be missing a course from one end or another. The wardrobes and wardrobes of lingerie might be relegated to a few drawers. You might never have enough shoes. There are so many extremes in Dominance and submission that we build a little fantasy for ourselves. There’s so many things that we want, that would make it all a little easier, a little more comfortable, that on top of everything else you want in life, it gets a little harder to bring it all to a reality. But our minds are pretty powerful things. Our imaginations more so. So who cares if we’ve got a mattress on the floor for a few months? It’ll work. The proximity to the floor might even be exciting. We can just fall on it, and don’t have to worry about our shins getting pranged by the bedframe. Why worry that our moving in boxes are still packed, in the corner, six months after we’ve moved in? They become part of the geography of our home, and we’ll slowly get through them, piece by piece, as we need what they contain. It adds a little flavour, honest. It’s not just laziness. And it doesn’t matter if we don’t have a flogger right now, or enough plugs, or cuffs, and clamps, and all that fun stuff. We don’t need it. And if we do, we can get it. Not to mention, there’s oh so many ways to improvise. Don’t worry about the little things. So long as the big ones are in place, the rest will fall in. I’m not going to say all you need is love, because someone said that already and I don’t want to be unoriginal. But love goes a hell of a long way. You have a few things to support it, and we’ll do just fine. -- source link
