The oldest brother was recruited because he was one of the best, he pushed him hard and the CO knew that the Sailor could be pushed hard and truly excel. The older middle brother joined the unit because the Sgt knew the Sailor, who was other wise just drifting through the Navy, would do well with the direction and guidance that came with being a member of the Unit. The youngest Sailor was approached once the Sgt realized that both his brothers were already his men and he has done well under the more experienced man’s control. In a couple of years when he’s old enough the youngest brother will be enlisting and the Unit might just have the whole set. -- source link
