My late tribute art for Stephen Hillenburg, one of my favourite cartoonists that i used to idolise as an awkward 12 year old who was into both marine biology and animation. I always liked it when artists incorporated both their interests or knowledge in a specific field (especially if its related to biology) into their creative works, while also adding in a good sense of humour. I know a couple of people who dislike Spongebob due to the design and appearance, but the show had left a big positive impact on me as a kid and I’m glad to know that I’m not the only one who feels about it this way.
