minnanohime:Working on dress #2 for the Moda 2017 fashion show and im using a LOT of organza for the overlay of my skirt. My teacher recommended i use waxed dental floss! This technique is fast and super easy to work with! All I did was get waxed dental floss, set my machine to the widest zig zag stitch and trap the floss inside the stitching. When you’re done, just pull the fabric and there you have it! I used this technique for the actual skirt and the ruffles which were over 6yds of organza so this technique proved to be very useful for me. Hope this helps out any of you! -- source link
