A few pictures capturing how a scorpion eats. A lot of people don’t realize they have two ‘arms’ that come out of their face and are essentially equipped with smaller pinchers to rip into their prey and drag it into their mouth. In these pictures you can see those two arms (also known as chelicerae) working in conjunction with their pinchers (also known as chela) to eat. Their chela end in two fingers, a moveable finger and a fixed finger. The fixed finger is the one on top, part of their chela. The moveable finger is below, and can open or close via the joint.The scorpion showed is a male Pandinus imperator, also known as the Emperor scorpion. -- source link
