Words can’t express how grateful I am for all the love and support I received for my Dodo&hell
Words can’t express how grateful I am for all the love and support I received for my Dodo…I’m so thankful and it truly helps reading every comment. Other than my own healing, my next concern was how Babybird would handle her being gone. He’s never really bonded to me even though I’ve had him since he was a baby for 11 years. He was bonded with Dodo, although she never fully bonded back…she always considered herself on of the humans. He loves Andy and is finding comfort with hanging with him. He seems to be doing well. He was with her when she passed, and we let him get a moment with her before taking her to my mom’s house to be buried. He looked at her and whistled a few times. Andy, Babybird, and I spent the rest of the day and night together in bed watching movies. Today he’s on the back porch chattering and singing away, entertaining himself, which is something he would do when Dodo was at the vet. We’ve been talking about getting another baby cockatiel, and may go look at some. Dodo’s cage is still as it was. I had just cleaned it, and I don’t have it in me to do anything with it for now. Baby bird has flown to it a few times, just looks around it. There’s a little bit of millet that Andy had given Dodo the other night. Babybird usually would have demolished it by now but hasn’t touched it. Andy has off the next few days so Babybird won’t be alone, but I worry about when we’re both at work and he’s by himself without her to keep him company. #bird #birds #cockatiel #cockatiels #pet #pets #beau #dodo #babybird #cockatielsofinstagram #birdsofinstagram #birdstagram #harrisonsbirdfoods #activitoys https://www.instagram.com/p/CZztdQJF_La/?utm_medium=tumblr -- source link
