I’d like to take a moment to mention the wonder of fist mitts in bondage. The most obvious use, of course, is to severely limit the ability to manipulate things with our fingers. There is a concentration of nerves in our fingertips and a slew of tiny muscles and nerves in our hands that allow us to deftly manipulate things. Our hands have a billion uses, removing that ability, and restricting those senses is as powerful as using a blindfold, gag, or ear plugs. There are tons of fist mitts out there, the best are thickly padded and lock on securely like the ones pictured here. I have always loved them when used as a starting point in a scene. Submitting to fist mitts feels safe, like putting on a pair of gloves. It is amazing how easy it is to control someone who has lost the use of their hands and fingers. Getting dressed or undressed become nearly impossible, simple knots within reach become extremely difficult to untie, a key can be left in reach and still be relatively impossible to manipulate into a lock. Even a door can represent a significant challenge as the doorknob is difficult to manipulate without the ability to grasp it.I discovered an expert trick once. I was given a squishy ball to grasp right before the mitt was pushed over my hand. I remember when the top handed me the ball to hold I was confused for a second, but as soon as he pushed the mitt down over my fist it all made sense. It forces your hand to remain gripping the ball, keeping your fingers immobile, drastically improved the security and sensation of the fist mitt. I highly recommend it. Gloves worn under the mitts can also heighten the sensation by separating and isolating each finger into separate compartments. A key, to perhaps a locked hood or chastity belt, held in the palm is also psychological frustrating as freedom is literally in the palm of their hand. For those of you on a budget, making fist mitts with Saran Wrap and duct tape is easy. You can also repurpose boxing gloves as fist mitts, Use cable ties or adhesive athletic tape fasten them on at the wrist.Finally, if your mitts have a locking post, use it. Even though mitts can be really difficult or impossible to remove even without it, the sound of that lock clicking closed, and seeing it on your wrists is a significant and powerful symbol, which shouldn’t be ignored.  -- source link
