I have to admit I’m guilty of this. Or at least have been in the past. Much of my earlier writing specifically used some of these words. But this comic makes a great point. Yes, BDSM is sometimes serious. It’s usually intense in some ways, at least within the context of a scene, but ultimately it all comes down to how you practice it. In reality, you’ll rarely find those within our community who are particularly “serious” about our lifestyle all of the time. There are serious aspects to it, to be sure, but the lifestyle and practice as a whole is not inherently more “serious” than any other. I’m glad someone has taken the time to portray this point so simply, and yet so well. -- source link
