chal-converts: apathy-e: tikkunolamorgtfo: authenticthievery: tikkunolamorgtfo: Once again, telling a queer Persian Jewish woman her public Jewishness is “problematic” or a somehow statement on Israel is bigotry 101. Meanwhile, North Carolina Pride has scheduled their march for Yom Kippur. Both the NC Pride March and the holiest day of the year are September 30th. It’s almost like they don’t want any Jews there. Intersectionality my ass. ARE YOU FUCKING SHITTING ME Urgh, fuck these pride events they’re just full of overly sexual perverts and racist leftists looking to get violent. If they care so much about Palestine, why don’t they host their pride parade there? Oh yeah because they would be building tossed, oops. Antisemites will always find a reason to hate Jewish people, it’s nothing new. Just gotta make sure we call them out when they do it. I was meaning to make a follow up post about how I’ve seen some really disappointing and unhelpful responses from some folks to the whole Dyke March fiasco that are either explicitly or thinly veiled homophobia/transphobia. …but thank you for so crassly illustrating my point, apathy-e. This helps no one and just muddies the discussion. Bringing up Palestinian homophobia is also irrelevant and unproductive. Anyway, I would appreciate if people would not make this cluster even worse for LGBTQ+ Jews. Trust me – if you feel that way about these queers, something tells me you already harbored those feelings about all queers, even the Jewish ones. In which case the Dyke March wouldn’t have even been for you in the first place. Knock it the fuck off. THANK YOU. When you exploit the antisemitism queer Jews are facing to push anti-left, anti-islam, anti-palestinian points, not only are you being oppressive, you’re making it much, much more difficult and dangerous for us. -- source link
