This might be just the thing for you.This ceiling replacer uses base game concrete to add a hint of texture while making ceilings slightly less obnoxiously bright.This will replace ALL the ceilings in your game.There are three packages, YOU CAN ONLY USE ONE AT A TIME.amoebae_CeilingReplacer_LightConcrete01 = This is the one in all of my screenshots. I recommend this if you use ReShade (but it’s up to you)amoebae_CeilingReplacer_LightConcrete01_Lighter = A tiny smidge lighter than the one above, in case it’s too dark for youamoebae_CeilingReplacer_LightConcrete01_Lightest = A smidge lighter again. These last two versions may be better for you if you don’t use ReShadeNEW! (2021-09-01) amoebae_CeilingReplacer_WarmConcrete_01 = This is the same as the first file in the list, but with a warmer tone. I realised the others were a little too cool for my tastes. The last screenshot above is of this texture (no ReShade).Just pop your chosen package file in your Mods folder, make sure you have Mods and Custom Content enabled in the game menu, and don’t forget to look up!You can swap between these packages whenever you like, but please remember to remove the old one first, because as a replacer multiple types will conflict with one another.NOTE: I have noticed some odd joins on some ceilings where there is a wall above. It may be that this was always a thing but with the game’s default plain white ceiling texture it wasn’t noticeable. The texture I’ve used is seamless, so the problem must lie with how Maxis has chosen to tile it below rooms. To my knowledge there is nothing I can do about this, but the problem seems to be minimal and where it does occur it seems to only be viewable from one direction (which is weird).With thanks to Remus Sims for finding the correct Maxis texture for ceilings.
