funnyhalloffame: My cousin, ashamed after building a chair from IKEA. this is one of the best posts i have ever seen OKAY BUT REAL TALK HERE. Years ago, my hubby had a game shop. He decided to get the tables and chairs for the game room from Ikea. Now, we had hired some coworkers of mine too help set up and run the shop I’ve it was open (just a few hours a week). Every single woman who attempted to put together those fucking chairs had a similar experience to this photo (although due to the difference in chair, instead of putting the legs on upside down, one would be missing). And we are talking about a fairly handy crew of women who were quite competent at putting together RTA and using tools and whatnot. This included myself, who later graduated top of her class in her machining program. The chairs defeated everyone with a vagina. Everyone. The guys, on the other hand, had zero problems, and that includes my husband, who watching him use a screwdriver at the time was so awkward it hurt (love him to death, but a handyman he is not). We had a large enough sample size of both genders for it to be uncanny. Now, we did not happen to have any trans employees, so I’m not sure if you have to be a guy or have a penis for Ikea furniture to be easy to assemble, but if anyone has experience with IKEA chairs and can provide data to help determine that I would love to know. -- source link
