TERMINAL BRAINROT HOURS!!!Hi I made an elaborate Bloodlord AU for swanqueen after rewatching the show and getting Unexpectedly Reinvested In ThemBloodlord is my dark fantasy headworld with eldritch monsters and blood magic, so this is insanely indulgent but I’m thriving!!I change Alot for this, they’re basically just my oc’s now I don’t make the ruleslore beneath the cut here bc I could and would go on for Miles about this, and the art makes this post long enough as it is HEHTLDR; The show squandered them, so i rewrote them a lil and they’re monster girl wives now :^)Emelia (emma) is an ex-pirate on the run from her bloody past, who comes across a newly orphaned Basil (henry) and kinda takes him on as her ward. Classic traumatized older person finds new life meaning through adopting child :^)Basil (henry) loves nature and exploring and reading about creatures in his biology book he’s had since he was a baby, Partial to frogs and small reptiles in general. Lived with his grandpa for awhile until he died in a Diaphon(monster) attack, one that Emelia saved Basil in. he kinda clings to her after that and while sometimes annoying her, they become like family.Renata (regina) was involved with an eldritch cult that she betrayed and massacred to regain control of her lordship, done by infusing herself with old-god blood and gaining horrible powers. Few years later, after she had full control of her city back, she comes back for the son she had sent away when shit started getting bad. Was very Disscheesed to meet Emelia, who she resented immediately. Both for having more of her sons affection than herself and being there to raise him, and for her arrogance and aloof attitude.They then go to live in Renata’s city, enemies-to-lovers wackiness ensues, family bonding etc. etc. don’t look at me!!!!!Eventually the cult comes to avenge their fallen, and Emelia sacrifices herself by also taking old-god blood to defend her family!!
