iconuk01: countessbatman: “That boy meant more to me than anything in life…” The weird thing here is that “Robin” actually DOES die here, and permanently. He’s not Dick Grayson though, he’s another kid Bruce had taken in because his parents had died. They’d been friends of the Wayne’s and each family had agreed to take in the other’s kid if anything happened to them (The fact they never took Bruce in speaks volumes). Anyway Bruce likes the kid because he plays up to him, but Dick is suspicious as hell and rightly so as the kid is an utter punk, and criminal to boot. he finds out they are Batman and Robin and ends up selling them out to a criminal, but in the meantime, has a pang of conscience because he see’s how awesome Batman is and replaces an injured Dick for this one scene, at which point he is promptly killed and… there are no consequences to this beyond.a basic “Oh dear” reaction. The Brave and the Bold #83 is a VERY odd story oh god -- source link
