I promised I would save my sappy emotions for later and I will. lol I’ve got some things cooking for you and I hope you’ll be happy when you see them. For now… here’s a little snippet and spoilers are below the cut. —–Sango paused, chewing on the side of her cheek nervously. She knew what she had asked Kagome there to talk about. And she needed some clarification. She wouldn’t back down, not when she and Miroku were so close. Sango tilted her head, watching her best friend closely. Kagome was reaching forward and taking a sip of her drink, she looked sad and confused but still stronger than she had since the wedding. It was now or never. Sango exhaled loudly. “Can you… can you tell me more about that day?” Her voice was small, timid, as Sango asked. Kagome put her drink down and looked over at her friend, her gaze easily falling over her. “What day?” Sango swallowed quietly. “The day that… Inuyasha broke up with you,” she clarified. “You seemed really upset and confused by everything over the weekend and I… well… I really don’t know the details of what actually happened between you both…” Kagome nodded, her gaze falling to her hands as they curled nervously around her glass. “I’m sorry… I know it’s not a good memory for you but… I feel like I can’t really help you like I want to from a place of ignorance,” Sango paused, mulberry eyes large and flickering over her friend’s slumping shoulders. Kagome tossed back the rest of her drink, letting the glass clink loudly down on the bar top before she forced her eyes closed, slowly nodding. “Sure…” Sango recoiled a little in shock. She had expected a little bit more push back and was surprised that Kagome had given in so quickly. “What would you like to know?” Kagome asked, turning to face Sango, eyes dull and tired as they perceived her. “Let’s start with the first thing you remember from that day…”—– BTW… lol in case you’ve been paying attention to the chapter names… chapter twenty one is titled… Part Two.
