Today I had to do something that I never thought I would have to do, and that was help talk a young man out of killing him self. I just happened to be passing by when I saw this guy named Mike trying to talk to the young Man in the photo sitting on the fence. At first I was just like “whatever, just some guy needing attention ” and then I reevaluated that that was a human being who needed some help. I pulled off and tried to talk to him. While looking at him I realized I felt just as hopeless as he did only a month ago. Myself and mike tried to talk to him and then he finally started to respond to us. I finally saw his name on his work tag and tried to find out what was wrong. In talking to him I found out so much about this young man and found out that his problems today were out weighed by amount of things he had to live for. I found out this kid lived right around the corner from my house and from there we just started to talk. The young man finally gained some trust in me until I was able to convince him to give me his hand and come down. I gave this guy a big hug and let him know others had been where he was, and that we understood where he was coming from. This poor kid had his whole life ahead of him and almost didn’t get to see the rest of it. I’m not posting this photo for praise or likes but to tell you that it’s ok. Things will get so much better one day. A month ago I was hopeless and felt just like this lil brotha, and then the storm passed and I started seeing the blessings God had in store for me. If you ever feel this hopeless, just know someone cares. If you really need someone to talk to, DM me or something and I’ll take the time out to see how you’re doing. I know exactly what it feels like which is why I want to encourage others to talk to someone before you think of taking drastic measures. There’s always better days, and the sun is always hiding behind clouds. Please take the time out to say a prayer for this lil homie. -- source link
