gazbarlow:officialgarybarlow: This year has made me grateful for many things. All the obvious stuff, Family, friends etcBut over the last 8 months my little studio has been a daily life saver for me. I can’t tell you how much I’ve enjoyed closing the doors, turning off the phone and just creating. Sometimes with no purpose other than to enjoy writing from the heart. Being in the moment with no urgency and no need to satisfy anyone else’s ears other than my own. Lovely. I think the last time I truly did this was when I still lived at home in my bedroom/studio in 1988(ish)I’ve also been working on some serious projects too. Some songs for movies. All to be released next year. Got to work along side the amazing Hans Zimmer. Composed the opening to an English classic. Wrote a Xmas song for an independent movie. And even went on a road trip to record a movie star on one of the tracks. If all that wasn’t enough I’ve also done some TV music. For 2 different shows. Exciting. There was also a stage project I had an idea for 3 years ago. But until 2020 I’d never been able to find the time or the head space to get it started. Guess what, I’m half way through writing it. Set to land on stage in 2023.My work with Tim Firth continues as we prep for the Movie Greatest Days to be shot. We’re also back working on Calendar Girls for a possible USA version. So as you can see from this little room I sit in every day, I’ve really made some progress.I’m backing things up now ready to start my promotional campaign for my new Album Music Played by Humans. We’re trying to make the most of the limited opportunities we have to put something on your TV or on your radio. See you out on the pitch -- source link
