THE GIN MILL - Warehouse Brawl PubWhen: Tuesday, February 23rd - 6pm Pacific, 9pm EasternWhere: An Abandoned Warehouse In MistWhere, But OOC This Time: Balmung > Mist > Ward 18 Subdivision, Plot 59 > Head DownstairsWho: Whoever shows up!Why: I dunno, I’m not the boss of you.Yes, it looks like it’s in an FC house, but SE won’t let you actually purchase an abandoned warehouse (…and good luck just buying a regular house on Balmung), so we’re just gonna pretend while we’re pretending. Ignore the rest of the scenery and head inside and straight to the basement. (Please. Pretty please. It’s not even in a basement in character, it’s just a warehouse.) Leave your magic, weapons, and inhibitions at home, ‘cause that’s not how we roll here. Slots are limited! But glory is forever.SIGN UP HERE FOR A SHOT AT BOTH!**Also possible: a shot to the nuts. Cup recommended, if you have those. The rules, under the cut…RulesGin Mill’s fight mechanics use Grindstone rules and /random, and take place in /yell to set them apart from the chatter. Any ties are rerolled. (This has happened once ever, but hey, it happened!)At the start of the fight, both opponents roll /random for turn order. The highest number goes first and writes a combat description in /yell.Both participants /random to see if it effectively hits or not.The defender describes accordingly in their next /yell post. If it does, the attacker gets a point, if not, the score stays the same. The defender now becomes the attacker. They write a description via /yell and rolls a /random to see if they hit.The new defender rolls /random to dodge, then becomes attacker again and writes a description and rolls /random accordingly. The match continues back and forth in this way until someone loses, or if we have a timer that night, time runs out, at which point either the highest score wins, or if there’s a tie, we have a simple sudden death /random and the highest roll of the two is declared winner.First to score three points is declared winner, and the loser can tap out, be knocked out, etc. as they see fit—this is considered OOC info, it doesn’t necessarily have to be ‘first to three hits’ ICly. Depending on how many fights or events within the event we have on the roster, there may be a 25-30 minute time limit, with the timer starting from first description posted.Three-way matches use the same rules, there’s just three people instead of two, and you can attack either of the other opponents. Please keep /yell and /random clear of non-fight chatter for ease of determining score and keeping the night moving along. If you want to generate random numbers for something, you can use the command /dice inside of party chat without interrupting the public /random rolls for the fight itself.See you in the ring!Contact UsRenIngame: Renaux MercierDiscord: Renaux#8571CertoIngame: Pim HarrisDiscord: Uendwen#2705NeviIngame: Lenneth AndrewDiscord: Nevi#1505We have a CWLS, as well as a Discord server, and you’re welcome to join either or both if you’re interested!
