everything feels scary and isolation is hard, but we’re all in this together. so at least in that regard, we aren’t alone. i’m trying to adjust, to handle two kids at home, completely uncertain about the future, my partner still leaving the house to do clinical work every day. i’m digging deep to find all the coping skills i’ve learned over the years from dealing with severe anxiety… grounding techniques, breathing, self-care even if it just means getting dressed, positive thinking. remember that this is hard for everyone and you are no less capable of dealing with this than anyone else. talk to yourself with a kind voice, the way you would speak to your children if they were upset or worried. go outside if you can, move your body, pull weeds, plant seeds. cook comfort food. find pleasure in whatever little activities or routines that you can. if you have the means, provide support or help to someone in need. and yes, allow yourself to be afraid, to get mad that the system is completely and utterly broken. then pick yourself up, do the best that you can, and fight for the change that we desperately need. https://ift.tt/3b6Pekp -- source link
