Scrap Fist————————————&mdash
Scrap Fist————————————————Target 1 “Junk Warrior” you control; if it battles an opponent’s monster this turn while you control it, apply these effects.● Your opponent cannot activate cards or effects until the end of the Damage Step.● If it attacks a Defense Position monster, inflict piercing battle damage to your opponent.● Double any battle damage your opponent takes.● It cannot be destroyed by battle.● Destroy the opponent’s monster that battled it at the end of the Damage Step.————————————————Can Be Found In: Synchron Extreme Structure Deck (SDSE-EN024)Cards and effects requiring a very specific monster are tricky to handle, as one moment they go from dead draws to then become some of the most devastating cards in the entire game. Is really up to the support we can provide to the monster itself, and while some cases like “Dark Magician” have plenty of options to work along from early to late game, others aren’t that lucky and will dig through any potential setups they can find. From an entire archetype assisting a single monster alone to obtaining the help of substitutes, cards arround a particular monster will mainly depend on the many chances that can show up during a Duel.“Scrap Fist” is a Spell Card that despite being exclusive for a specific Synchro Monster it will provide a brief yet big number of benefits. Only affecting “Junk Warrior” in our field (And no other copies if any, the Synchro Monster will gain the following effects during any battle: The opponent will be unable to use any cards or effects until the Damage Step ends, double the damage caused by “Junk Warrior” in battle, “Junk Warrior” will be able to deal piercing damage against defensive monsters, will be unable to be defeated in battles, and destroy the monster that it battled against once resolves. Pretty much turns “Junk Warrior” a near indestructible monster in Battle Phases with several abilities to cover both offense and defense, and under the right preparatives it can turn a winning condition if taking advantage of “Junk Warrior” own effect.Fortunately “Junk Warrior” is not that difficult to summon when needed to work along “Scrap First”, as with the revival effect of “Junk Synchron” as well “Quickdraw Synchron” becoming a replacement of the former becomes a very easy Synchro Summon thanks to the options involving the Synchron archetype. The possibilities of “Scrap Fist” really depends of when and how we use it, as due its many abilities it can take a variety of uses in different scenarios. Protecting it from any opponent’s counters during battle makes its own attacks safer to pass through, and with double and piercing damage is assured to pass through some solid damage. On the other hand, “Scrap Fist” can take a defensive approach by making “Junk Warrior” unbeatable in battle as destroys any enemies battling it, becoming a solid choice to respond against any attackers. However, “Scrap Fist” true selling point is mainly its double damage, as a clean hit from “Junk Warrior” can deal minimun 4600 damage. However, “Junk Warrior” increases its own ATK with those from Level 2 and below monsters on our field when Synchro Summoned, potentially reaching an OTK as “Scrap Fist” protects it from any possible counters during battle. But if we are not gathering monsters like “Quillbolt Hedgehog” and “Doppelwarrior” or swarming the field with “Tri-Wight” before summoning “Junk Warrior” to provide their ATK when summoned, “Rush Warrior” will double its ATK by being disposed from our hand in the middle of any battle.“Junk Warrior” was one of the first Synchro Monsters to debut in the game and gained some popularity from its various appearances in the series, and a card of its own like “Scrap Fist” was to be expected. Although a Quick-Play Spell that will only benefit “Junk Warrior” a single turn, the several effects “Scrap Fist” provides from its activation alone makes it a highly valuable card for any Deck invested on “Junk Warrior”. “Junk Warrior” already has some reputation in casual play due the potential of gaining a massive ATK boost when summoned, and “Scrap Fist” piercing attacks and double damage along basic coverage makes it an easily accesible OTK Deck to work with. Obviously a Deck involving “Scrap Fist” must entirely center on “Junk Warrior” no matter if is for quick win or to protect it from stronger enemies, but compared to other monster exclusive cards is easy to play and provides great advantages with several purposes.Personal Rating: A-+ Provides several effects to “Junk Warrior” during battle+ Flexible purposes+ High OTK potential by working along the effect of “Junk Warrior”- Requires a Deck arround “Junk Warrior” to work and avoid being a dead card -- source link
