1.09.17 When you look in the mirror, what do you see? Body image is a funny, moody lil thing isn’t it. One day you wake up feeling amazing.. then the next, not so good. “My arms are too big.. my thighs are too thick.. my dips too pronounced” are some classic examples of what I might think to myself when I look in the mirror some days. It’s unhealthy self-talk, and I think we’re all guilty of it sometimes. On days like these, take a step back and stop analysing yourself. It’s pretty addicting isn’t it? It’s also incredibly toxic. Stop allowing that negative self-talk consume your thoughts. Try to focus on the positives instead.. aka what do you love about yourself? Distract your mind. Do things that make you happy, whatever that might be. Go to the gym. Listen to music you enjoy. Read. Surround yourself with people you love. Self love is a life-long project peeps.
