fooltook: I have a lot of love for the relationship between Hawkeye and Charles, particularly these sorts of moments where Charles speaks almost gently to him. Hawkeye’s not actually this constant annoyance to him, and Charles is sort of learning how to handle him when it matters. More besides, he’s learning that he respects and even likes him, and wants to help him fight some of the battles, and god knows Hawkeye does that enough for everyone else.
