It had been forecast to rain when John and Edward hit the Guilfest stage on the afternoon of Saturday 19 July. Instead, it was one of the hottest and stickiest days of the summer so far, when the Dublin twins played to hundreds at what has been voted UK’s best family music festival. Crowds raced over from the main stage to stage 2 to hear the twins perform, and they weren’t disappointed. Jedward hit the ground running, singing a mix of their own songs and covers, including Free Spirit, which they have written and produced themselves. Free Spirit is the first from the twins’ as-yet unnamed album, due to be released later this summer. To promote the album, John and Edward have announced concert dates in Ireland, starting with Dublin on October 24, and Castlebar on the 27th. Tickets for Dublin’s Olympia Theatre gig will be available on Friday 25 July from Ticketmaster. -- source link
