spocks-brain:Hi everyone! I have been wanting to do a movie night for a while, and I finally decided to just do it! I will host a viewing of Star Trek: The Motion Picture using Rabbit, a website that lets you watch movies with friends while messaging and/or video chatting. At least for this first one, I am just going to set a specific date and pick the movie myself because that’s easier. If there are more movie nights after this one, we can vote on dates, times, and the movie that we watch! So, this first movie night will be on Friday, July 24 at 9:00 EST. Here is a time converter if you are not in the eastern time zone. I will post a link on Friday at around 8:30 and people will be welcome to join at any time until the movie is overThis is open to anyone, not just my followers! The only real rule is that you need to be respectful towards everyone watching the movie. As the host of the viewing, I can kick someone out of the room if they are being rude/disruptive.As I mentioned before, Rabbit has both messaging and video chatting capabilities. If you are not comfortable with transmitting a video of yourself, you can simply turn off the camera and no one will be able to see you! And all you need to do to join the room is follow a link and type in what you want to be called, so you don’t need to put any sort of personal information in there. :)If video chatting is too distracting/loud and we cant watch the movie, we might just switch to simply messaging each other about it, but we’ll see. I hope that some people want to come and watch the movie with me! If you want to reblog this post to spread the word, that would be great! Message me if you have any questions -- source link
