onlymonica: There’s something sacred about that first cup in the morning. Most of us have some type of routine in the morning. When you consider the abrupt change between a solid night of sleep and a full day of activity, that transition usually requires an adjustment period. My routine is a strong cup of coffee, w/cream & no sugar. I usually listen to some news on the radio & scan the paper, making sure the planet still revolves. Feed the cats (lest they devour me…). Usually some light stretching. Check emails, etc. And look at my tumblr feed. I’m not a coffee gulper – I need to sip it slowly, savor it. Take in the new day, rather than be taken by it. Enjoying whatever nice scenery there is, or whatever inspiring music there be. Morning coffee lubricates my body, soul, and mind. It’s like priming an engine before starting it. -- source link
