Saw this on instagram, it remembered me of a story,I had a friend who liked me, I knew it and he knew I didn’t feel the same way (just didn’t know the why).He was very sweet, but hugs and things like that meant a lot to him, for him all friends hug and refuse a hug is the same as not fully trusting him or disliking him.He insisted with me to give him a hug beyond our relationship of love and not love. I always refused until one day that I said yes. Well, it felt weird, kinda wrong and “disgusting.” He realized that, but said nothing.A few weeks passed without hugs or physical affection. But one day I decided to tell him why I don’t like hugs and affection, especially by someone who is “just a friend” (that I don’t have a deep, strong and loving connection). He didn’t understand. He said I couldn’t say that I was asexual because I had never had sex, that it was stupid not to like affection, that I would never have a boyfriend or that if I ever had one, he would be very poorly served, and finally, that if I didn’t like affection it was because I didn’t value friendship and, in that case, it made no sense to be friends. Our friendship ended. And I’m very happy that happened. This is to show everyone that we are who we are and that we should never hear people who want us bad.Affection does not equal loveSex does not equal loveimage by unite_uk1 on instagram -- source link
