julcheninred:Your favorite cranky bisexual is here to remind everyone that “attraction regardless of gender” has been part of bisexuality since at least the 1970s, and every redefinition of bisexuality to distinguish it from pansexuality is just false. “Bisexuals can love all genders but necessarily have a preference” is false. “Bisexuals can love all genders but necessarily feel differently about them” is false. “Bisexuals are necessarily attracted to the physical body, but pansexuals are attracted to THEE TRUE ESSENCE of a person.” Stop with that.The only correct definition of pansexuality is that it is a kind of bisexuality. I’m fed up with kids who weren’t even born yet when I came out telling me how “bisexual” is too limiting a term for their boundless ability to love. Bisexuality is the capacity for attraction to more than one gender, in ALL that capacity’s forms. I’m claiming the whole breadth of bi history and culture that was handed down to me by those who came before me. I’m not ceding one inch of it. It’s all ours. Happy Pride! ️ -- source link
