It was a busy day today. So like, this morning we actually went to the deer park. It was somewhat busy but. Really enjoyable, and I’ll talk about that more in a different post.Came home for like 30 minutes, then went out to horses early. It’s like, nicely warm today. Not sweaty-hot, you know? So the horses were in pretty good moods. I went and put a halter on Q and Zara, then just. Rode Q inside while bringing Zara along on the halter. I was honestly kind of surprised by just how good he did and how non-hostile he was, since normally he’s an assbutt.I put Q in the paddock, and he just went over to the hay instead of screaming, which was nice. Quattro stood in the aisle fine, and we got ready quickly before heading out to the arena.Where he promptly attempted to shove me off the mounting block. After I got on despite his protests, he calmed down a lot. He was really happy to work: once we got moving, he wanted to run. And we ended up running quite a lot, but he behaved himself really well, even though. We hit like every soft spot in the arena and tripped hard like twice but I never flew off him and he never ate dirt, so. Yes.But we also lost a race to Zara who freaking galloped past us and almost lapped us. Crazy mare really wanted to run today. It was good, though. Felt short, but was really good.So yeah. That was horses. And that was only a small part of today. -- source link
