luanna255:sexinessin-tightandcape:discowing:Pre-Crisis Jason used to get jealous and start acting catty when someone would even just look at his Batman, but he’s cool with Superman schmooping at him. And he lets him ruffle his hair! Triple wow![Action 556]Really, when did DC mess Batman up? I mean, look! He’s smiling, listening, best bud’ with superman and don’t deny it…WHEN did he become that all broody dark -I’m-not-talking-to-you-cuz-i-love-you-but-i’m-horrible-with-you? Seriously! THAT Batman would NEVER burn his son’s sketchbook! He would talk to him and offer him a new sketchbook to get a new start! Look at him, he’s still worried about Superman’s feelings until he leaves! Now he would says “gone at last” u__uDC, WHAT’S WRONG WITH YA^ I totally agree with this commentary. I mean, I get that having emotional issues and not being good at relationships is part of Bruce’s character, and I’m not saying he should morph into a spectacularly well-adjusted individual overnight. But DC seems to forget that there was a time when Bruce was, in fact, portrayed as being able to keep up his end of a relationship without being a complete and utter jerk about everything. When he could be shown being kind and caring towards the people he loved and DC wasn’t worried that something would implode as a result. We still see glimpses of that Bruce occasionally, but they’re few and far between. It’s like TPTB think people won’t like Batman anymore if he’s too “soft” or something. But Bruce has a soft side. He has a soft side with his “kids”. He has a soft side with close friends like Clark and Diana. He has a soft side with Selina. Bruce does have emotions, and there are certain people in the world that he loves very deeply. Is he always good at showing it? No, and I’m not saying he has to be. But that’s not the same as never showing it. I just really wish DC got that. -- source link
